Principal's Corner

Hello!  My name is Debbie Edens and I have the great privilege of serving as the principal of Jack T. Farrar Elementary School.  Since you are reading this, I can only assume that you are either an upcoming or present parent of a student who attends school at JTF.

As the principal of your child’s school, I want to assure you of my genuine love and concern for each and every child who enters the doors of our school.  I believe every child has been placed at our school for a reason and it is the responsibility of every adult in our building, from the custodial staff, cafeteria workers, administration, educational assistants, teachers, and office staff to serve as positive role models who encourage, lead, and teach by example.  Every child has great personal potential and we are charged with the challenge of helping every child to recognize, nurture, and fulfill this potential.

I encourage you to actively participate in your child’s education by regularly checking his/her school work, communicating with teachers, and always encouraging and expecting your child to do his/her very best.

I am here to serve you and your children and welcome the opportunity to do so.  Please know that I am happy to listen and consider any ideas for improvement, as well as answer questions or concerns you may have.  You can make an appointment to meet with me by calling 454-2608.  If at all possible, I ask that you avoid asking for an appointment until after 8:00 a.m. in the mornings, as I feel it is very important to personally greet children at the start of each day.

Debbie Edens, Ed. S.
